Letra:

Encontrei uma preta
que estava a chorar,
pedi-lhe uma lágrima
para a analisar.

Recolhi a lágrima
com todo o cuidado
num tubo de ensaio
bem esterilizado.

Olhei-a de um lado,
do outro e de frente:
tinha um ar de gota
muito transparente.

Mandei vir os ácidos,
as bases e os sais,
as drogas usadas
em casos que tais.

Ensaiei a frio,
experimentei ao lume,
de todas as vezes
deu-me o que é costume:

nem sinais de negro,
nem vestígios de ódio.
Água (quase tudo)
e cloreto de sódio.

António Gedeão | Pedra filosofal

António Gedeão (Rómulo de Carvalho) é o autor do poema Pedra filosofal.

Manuel Freire transformou o poema numa belíssima canção.

Letra:

Eles não sabem que o sonho
É uma constante da vida
Tão concreta e definida
Como outra coisa qualquer

Como esta pedra cinzenta
Em que me sento e descanso
Como este ribeiro manso
Em serenos sobressaltos

Como estes pinheiros altos
Que em verde e oiro se agitam
Como estas aves que gritam
Em bebedeiras de azul

Eles não sabem que o sonho
É vinho, é espuma, é fermento
Bichinho a lacre e sedento
De focinho pontiagudo
No perpétuo movimento

Eles não sabem que o sonho
É tela, é cor, é pincel
Base, fuste ou capitel
Arco em ogiva, vitral,
Pináculo de catedral,
Contraponto, sinfonia,
Máscara grega, magia,
Que é retorta de alquimista

Mapa do mundo distante
Rosa dos ventos, infante
Caravela quinhentista
Que é cabo da boa esperança

Ouro, canela, marfim
Florete de espadachim
Bastidor, passo de dança
Columbina e arlequim

Passarola voadora
Para-raios, locomotiva
Barco de proa festiva
Alto forno, geradora

Cisão do átomo, radar
Ultrassom, televisão
Desembarque em foguetão
Na superfície lunar

Eles não sabem nem sonham
Que o sonho comanda a vida
E que sempre que o homem sonha
O mundo pula e avança
Como bola colorida
Entre as mãos de uma criança
(La la la ra la ra ra )

Alegria

 ALEGRIA (letra):

Já ouço gritos ao longe
Já diz a voz do amor
A alegria do corpo
O esquecimento da dor

Já os ventos recolheram
Já o verão se nos oferece
Quantos frutos, quantas fontes
Mais o sol que nos aquece

Quantos frutos, quantas fontes
Mais o sol que nos aquece

Já colho jasmins e nardos
Já tenho colares de rosas
E danço no meio da estrada
As danças prodigiosas

Já os sorrisos se dão
Já se dão as voltas todas
Ó certeza das certezas
Ó alegria das bodas

Já colho jasmins e nardos
Já tenho colares de rosas
E danço no meio da estrada
As danças prodigiosas

Já os sorrisos se dão
Já se dão as voltas todas
Ó certeza das certezas
Ó alegria das bodas

Ó certeza das certezas
Ó alegria das bodas

Ó certeza das certezas
Ó alegria das bodas

Ó certeza das certezas
Ó alegria das bodas

Ó certeza das certezas
Ó alegria das bodas

(in José Saramago. Provavelmente alegria)

Letra:

Já esqueceram o cantar e o sorriso
Já não são homens de boa vontade
A loucura está a vencer o juízo
O ódio, a amizade
Estão-se a despir de toda a humanidade

Já esqueceram o cantar e o sorriso
Já não são homens de boa vontade
A loucura está a vencer o juízo
O ódio, a amizade
Estão-se a despir de toda a humanidade

Vou protestar
Denunciar, vou alertar
Querem fazer a guerra nuclear
Vou protestar
Denunciar, estou-me a alarmar

Vou protestar
Denunciar, vou alertar
Querem fazer a guerra nuclear
Vou protestar
Denunciar, estou-me a alarmar

Vou protestar
Estou-me a alarmar
Vou implorar

Vou-me queixar
Estou-me a alarmar
Vou suplicar
Ao Deus da vida pra os neutralizar

Vou-me queixar
Estou-me a alarmar
Vou suplicar
Ao Deus da vida pra os neutralizar

Vou implorar
Vou implorar

Letra:

We make all of our suns the same
Every one will suffer the fire we've made
They all explode just the same
And there's no going back on the plans we've made

Peacekeeper, take your time
Wait for the dark of night
Soon all the suns will rise
Peacekeeper, don't tell why
Don't be afraid to fight
Love is the sweet surprise

Only creatures who are on their way
Ever poison their own well
But we still have time to hate
And there's still something we can sell

Peacekeeper, take your time
Wait for the dark of night
Soon all the suns will rise
Peacekeeper, don't tell why
Don't be afraid to fight
Love is the sweet surprise

When the night is cold and still
When you thought you'd had your fill
Take all the time you will
This is not a test, it's not a drill
Take no prisoners, only kill

You know all of our friends are Gods
And they all tell us how to paint our face
But there's only one brush we need
It's the one that never leaves a trace

Peacekeeper, take your time
Wait for the dark of night
Soon all the suns will rise
Peacekeeper, don't tell why
Don't be afraid to fight
Love is the sweet surprise

Peacekeeper, take your time
Wait for the dark of night
Soon all the suns will rise
Peacekeeper, don't tell why
Don't be afraid to fight
Love is the sweet surprise

When the night is cold and still
When you thought you'd had your fill
This is not a test, it's not a drill
Take no prisoners, only kill

Pela paz e harmonia globais | Harmony de Never Shout Never

Letra:

I am I

You are you

We are we

We could live in such harmony

Can't you see?

Apathy lies between

We could live in such harmony

And I am praying for the day

When you and I and he and she are we

When you and I and he and she are we

Humanity will sing harmony

We start a war

But what's it for?

We fight for peace

Peace will find us with harmony

So trade your guns

And fire with doves

We fight for love

And peace will find us with harmony

And I am praying for the day

When you and I and he and she are we

When you and I and he and she are we

Humanity will sing harmony

So one for all

And all for one

We for we

We could sing in such harmony

I work for you

You work for me

We work for free

And we could sing in such harmony

And I am praying for the day

When you and I and he and she are we

When you and I and he and she are we

Humanity will sing harmony

Letra:

Here we stand or here we fall

History won't care at all

Make the bed light the light

Lady mercy won't be home tonight yeah

You don't waste no time at all

Don't hear the bell but you answer the call

It comes to you as to us all

We're just waiting

For the Hammer To Fall

Oh ev'ry night and every day

A little piece of you is falling away

But lift your face the western way

Build your muscles as your body decays yeah

Toe your line and play their game yeah

Let the anaesthetic cover it all

Till one day they call your name

You know it's time for the Hammer To Fall

Rich or poor or famous

For your truth it's all the same (oh no oh no)

Lock your door the rain is pouring

Through your window pane (oh no)

Baby now your struggle's all in vain

For we who grew up tall and proud

In the shadow of the mushroom cloud

Convinced our voices can't be heard

We just wanna scream it louder and louder louder

What the hell we fighting for?

Just surrender and it won't hurt at all

You just got time to say your prayers

While your waiting for the hammer to Hammer To Fall

It's gonna fall

Hammer, you know, Hammer To Fall

While you're waiting for the Hammer To Fall

Give it to me one more time

Letra:

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah

In glory a soldier I stand till the end

A golden revolver I hold in my hand

The trigger that I never squeeze

The war that brings me to my knees

I'm tired of fighting for peace

When I am alone on the front line

I need you to stand next to me

Baby cease fire, fire, fire

Throw down your weapons, your weapons, your weapons

I'm on your side, on your side on your side

So please cease fire, fire, fire

Cease fire make it stop

Drop down your defenses I'm raising my flag

This fighting is hopeless we need this to end

It's going too far don't know where it began

We're hurting each other and I can't pretend

I'm trying to help you to see

The casualties that we both lead

It's all so unnecessary

Can't you hear me scream

Baby cease fire, fire, fire

Throw down your weapons, your weapons, your weapons

I'm on your side, on your side on your side

So please cease fire, fire, fire

Cease fire make it stop

Uh uh uh oooh

Uh uh uh oooh

Uh uh uh oooh

Uh uh uh oooh

Uh uh uh oooh

Uh uh uh oooh

Uh uh uh oooh

Uh uh uh oooh (Fire...)

Rolling out

White flag. I surrender

Hear me now

Make it stop. We can do better

Pain and hurt

Living in fear. Wasted energy

In the end

What is it worth. What is a legacy

Rolling out

White flag. I surrender

Hear me now

Make it stop. We can do better

Pain and hurt

Living in fear. Wasted energy

In the end

What is it worth. What is a legacy

Follow me now

I'm gonna announce. Somebody help me

I need you now

Why cant you see. Got to believe me

Fighting for peace

Need a release. Want you to move me

I'm on your side

Swallow your pride. You can confide in me

Army of one

Rise of the sun. Shining for all to see

Enemy's none

Victory's won. No negativity

We can be free

We are the king. Who owns our destiny

Baby cease fire, fire, fire

Throw down your weapons, your weapons, your weapons

I'm on your side, on your side on your side

So please cease fire, fire, fire

Cease fire make it stop

Letra:

Look at your young men fighting

Look at your women crying

Look at your young men dying

The way they've always done before

Look at the hate we're breeding

Look at the fear we're feeding

Look at the lives we're leading

The way we've always done before

My hands are tied

The billions shift from side to side

And the wars go on with brainwashed pride

For the love of God and our human rights

And all these things are swept aside

By bloody hands time can't deny

And are washed away by your genocide

And history hides the lies of our civil wars

D'you wear a black armband

When they shot the man

Who said "peace could last forever"

And in my first memories

They shot Kennedy

I went numb when I learned to see

So I never fell for Vietnam

We got the wall of D.C. to remind us all

That you can't trust freedom

When it's not in your hands

When everybody's fightin'

For their promised land

And

I don't need your civil war

It feeds the rich while it buries the poor

Your power hungry sellin' soldiers

In a human grocery store

Ain't that fresh

I don't need your civil war

Ow, oh no, no, no, no, no

Look at the shoes you're filling

Look at the blood we're spilling

Look at the world we're killing

The way we've always done before

Look in the doubt we've wallowed

Look at the leaders we've followed

Look at the lies we've swallowed

And I don't want to hear no more

My hands are tied

For all I've seen has changed my mind

But still the wars go on as the years go by

With no love of God or human rights

'Cause all these dreams are swept aside

By bloody hands of the hypnotized

Who carry the cross of homicide

And history bears the scars of our civil wars

I don't need your civil war

It feeds the rich while it buries the poor

Your power hungry sellin' soldiers

In a human grocery store

Ain't that fresh

I don't need your civil war

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

I don't need your civil war

I don't need your civil war

Your power hungry sellin' soldiers

In a human grocery store

Ain't that fresh

I don't need your civil war

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no uh-oh-uh, no uh-oh, uh no

I don't need one more war

I don't need one more war

No, no, no, no uh-oh-uh, no uh-oh, uh no

Letra:

This is the early evening edition of the news.
The recent fight in the House of Representatives was over the open housing
section of the Civil Rights Bill.
Brought traditional enemies together but it left the defenders of the
measure without the votes of their strongest supporters.
President Johnson originally proposed an outright ban covering discrimination
by everyone for every type of housing but it had no chance from the start
and everyone in Congress knew it.
A compromise was painfully worked out in the House Judiciary Committee.
In Los Angeles today comedian Lenny Bruce died of what was believed to be an
overdoes of narcotics.
Bruce was 42 years old.
Dr. Martin Luther King says he does not intend to cancel plans for an open
housing march Sunday into the Chicago suburb of Cicero.
Cook County Sheriff Richard Ogleby asked King to call off the march and the
police in Cicero said they would ask the National Guard to be called out
if it is held.
King, now in Atlanta, Georgia, plans to return to Chicago Tuesday.
In Chicago Richard Speck, accused murderer of nine student nurses, was brought
before a grand jury today for indictment.
The nurses were found stabbed an strangled in their Chicago apartment.
In Washington the atmosphere was tense today as a special subcommittee of the
House Committee on Un-American activities continued its probe into anti-
Vietnam war protests.
Demonstrators were forcibly evicted from the hearings when they began chanting
anti-war slogans.
Former Vice-President Richard Nixon says that unless there is a substantial
increase in the present war effort in Vietnam, the U.S. should look forward
to five more years of war.
In a speech before the Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in New York,
Nixon also said opposition to the war in this country is the greatest single
weapon working against the U.S.
That's the 7 o'clock edition of the news,
Goodnight.

Silent night
Holy night
All is calm
All is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

Pela paz e harmonia globais | Blowin' in the wind de Bob Dylan

Letra:

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, and how many times must the cannonballs fly
Before they're forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, and how many years must a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
And how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, and how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
And how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Letra:

Come you masters of war
You that build the big guns
You that build the death planes
You that build all the bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks

You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly

Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain

You fasten all the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you sit back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion
While the young people's blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud

You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins

How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I'm young
You might say I'm unlearned
But there's one thing I know
Though I'm younger than you
That even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good?
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could?
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul

And I hope that you die
And your death will come soon
I'll follow your casket
By the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand over your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead

Pela paz e harmonia globais | Peace will come de Tom Paxton

Letra:

Peace,

Peace will,

Peace will come,

And let it begin with me.

We,

We need,

We need peace,

And let it begin with me.

Oh, my own life

Is all I can hope to control.

Oh, let my life,

Be lived for the good,

Good of my soul.

Let it bring peace,

Sweet peace,

Peace will come,

And let it begin with me.

Letra:

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky

Imagine all the people
Livin' for today
Ah

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too

Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace
You

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Telas musicais
